Case Studies

Case Studies are specific in scope. They are about the customer’s experience with your company’s solution. Case Studies are basically a story of one of your customers having experienced a particular problem for which your company offers a solution. The customer describes the problem in some detail, how it hinders his company’s operations. and profitability.

The customer describes how he found your solution and how he decided to order it. He mentions briefly the steps involved in its implantation.

The customer then tells how things are working with your solution in action. He details how he benefits from time and money saved, giving facts and figures,

In the end, he describes the results observed after implementing the solution and how overall operations have improved,

Case Studies, or problem-success stories, are strong credibility builders. They are often what moved prospective customers to make the purchasing decision. They are definitely worth the extra steps in their development.

Preparing a case study is not simply a writing project. An effective case study requires an interview with the customer.  You, your writer, and the customer engage in an interview of about half-an-hour. The items covered are the problem and exactly what benefits were experienced.

The customer is offered something of monetary value like a free analysis of operations in return for the interview time.

Case studies are versatile documents. They can be made available for download from the site, or from a form to generate leads. They can be repurposed into articles of sell sheets or added to a white paper as a testimonial.  Yet they are relatively short, about one to two pages.
